Review by hotel critic
During our recent Easter getaway at the Pennington Hotel in Ravenglass, we were welcomed by the warm staff and the charm of this quaint 16th-century inn. Our sea view room, with its beamed ceilings and luxurious bathroom amenities, offered both comfort and a touch of elegance, although being on the ground floor meant a few curious passersby. We leisurely enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning, and the complimentary Wi-Fi made sharing our family adventures seamless. The real highlight, however, was the brasserie-style dinners we savored each night, allowing us to unwind with quality meals while our dog lounged nearby. Perfectly situated for hiking in the stunning Lake District, this place truly felt like a hidden treasure, and we’re already planning our return!
